According to official data, a total of 42,706 drug traffickers have been arrested so far during the 306-day campaign, reflecting the scale and consistency of the enforcement drive. The campaign has focused not only on disrupting supply chains but also on identifying repeat offenders, seizing contraband and strengthening intelligence-based policing.

The Bhagwant Mann-led government has repeatedly stressed that the war against drugs is not limited to policing alone. Alongside enforcement, the campaign places strong emphasis on awareness programmes, community participation, rehabilitation and youth outreach, aimed at preventing substance abuse at the grassroots level.

Senior officials have stated that the campaign will continue with full force, with special focus on vulnerable border areas, urban hotspots and educational institutions. The government maintains that protecting the youth and restoring social harmony remains a top priority.

With ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, the Punjab government has signalled a clear message of zero tolerance against drugs, vowing to pursue the mission until a Nasha-Mukt Punjab becomes a reality.
