Bhagwant Mann: Continuing its aggressive crackdown on drug trafficking, Punjab Police has arrested 95 drug smugglers as part of its ongoing anti-drug campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’.
Bhagwant Mann: Major Recoveries in Statewide Raids
According to official updates, multiple raids were conducted across Punjab, leading to the recovery of 3.9 kg heroin, 393 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and ₹7,760 in drug money. The action reflects intensified efforts to dismantle the drug supply chain at the grassroots level.
Over 59,000 Arrests in 415 Days
Officials revealed that in the 415 days of the campaign, a total of 59,803 drug smugglers have been arrested, indicating the scale and consistency of the crackdown against narcotics in the state.
Focus on De-Addiction and Rehabilitation
Apart from enforcement, the police also emphasized rehabilitation efforts. Around 22 individuals were persuaded to opt for de-addiction and counseling, highlighting a dual approach of strict action and social reform.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Drugs
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against drugs. The campaign aims not only to curb smuggling but also to reduce addiction through awareness and rehabilitation programs.
Sustained Crackdown Across Districts
Authorities stated that coordinated operations are being carried out across districts with the support of specialized units like Anti-Narcotics Task Force Punjab, ensuring continuous monitoring and swift action against offenders.
