Bhagwant Mann Govt Intensifies Anti-Gangster Drive: 309 Arrested in Punjab Under ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ Campaign

Bhagwant Mann: The crackdown on organized crime in Punjab has intensified as Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force, carried out large-scale operations under the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign.

Bhagwant Mann: Massive Statewide Raids

Police conducted 577 targeted raids across multiple locations, leading to the arrest of 309 individuals linked to criminal and gangster networks.

Action Against Wanted Criminals

During the operation, 5 proclaimed offenders were also apprehended, marking a significant step in tracking down fugitives involved in serious crimes.

Recovery of Weapons

Authorities recovered 7 weapons during the raids, aimed at preventing potential criminal activities and maintaining law and order.

Nearly 24,000 Arrests So Far

Officials confirmed that the total number of arrests under the campaign has now reached 23,989, reflecting the sustained and aggressive approach against gangster networks.

Government’s Zero-Tolerance Approach

The drive is being carried out under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, whose government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against crime and organized gangs.

Punjab Police has urged citizens to share information anonymously through its anti-gangster helpline (93946-93946), emphasizing the importance of community support in tackling crime.
