In a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, the Commissionerate Police in Amritsar has busted a heroin smuggling network, arresting three individuals and recovering over one kilogram of heroin and a large sum of drug money.

According to the Punjab DGP, the police seized 1.01 kg of heroin, ₹45.19 lakh in cash, and a cash counting machine during the operation. The crackdown was part of a broader initiative to dismantle drug cartels operating in and around Punjab.
