In a major crackdown on drug trafficking and organized crime, Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence unit in Amritsar has busted a narco-terror module, arresting four individuals and seizing 4 kg of heroin from their possession. The operation was intelligence-driven and aimed at dismantling networks involved in drug smuggling and terror financing.
According to a tweet by Punjab Director General of Police (DGP), the operation was carried out by the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), Amritsar. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway to trace the forward and backward linkages of the arrested individuals.

The four accused were apprehended near Government Hospital, Naraingarh, Chheharta, Amritsar. The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Navjot Singh alias Sahil, resident of Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar
Sukhwinder Singh, resident of Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar
Gurpreet Singh, resident of Village Sheron, Tarn Taran
Aniket, son of Rajpal, resident of Krishna Mandir, Naraingarh, Amritsar
