Bhagwant Mann Greets Women on International Women’s Day 2026, Promises Big Announcement in Budget Session

International Women’s Day 2026: Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, extended heartfelt greetings to women across the state, the country, and abroad on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8. In a message shared on social media, Mann congratulated mothers, sisters and daughters and praised their contribution to society and the progress of Punjab.

The Punjab Chief Minister said he salutes every daughter and sister who, through their hard work and courage, is making Punjab proud across the world. He also paid tribute to mothers who, he said, make countless sacrifices for their families and ensure that their children never sleep hungry.

Promises Big Announcement in Budget Session

Mann added that mothers have always played a vital role in shaping society, giving birth to saints, spiritual leaders and brave warriors. He said he remains committed to serving and supporting mothers who have contributed immensely to building strong families and communities.

Emphasising the importance of women’s empowerment, Mann stated that the progress of Punjab is only possible when women walk shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. He said his government is dedicated to making women self-reliant and strengthening their participation in the state’s development.

The Chief Minister also hinted at a major announcement for women during the ongoing budget session, describing it as a “big good news” for mothers, sisters and daughters of Punjab. He said the government will continue to introduce policies aimed at improving opportunities, security and economic independence for women.

The message came as people across India and around the world celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the achievements, resilience and contributions of women in all spheres of life.
