Bhagwant Mann Highlights 3 Years of Aam Aadmi Clinics: Over 4.2 Crore OPD Visits and ₹2,000 Crore Saved

These figures reflect the growing trust and reliance of Punjab’s residents on government-run healthcare services.

The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, marked three years of the Aam Aadmi Clinics — a flagship healthcare initiative aimed at providing free and accessible medical services to the people of Punjab. In just three years, these neighborhood clinics have emerged as a cornerstone of the state’s primary healthcare network.

According to official data shared by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab), Aam Aadmi Clinics have provided over 4.2 crore OPD consultations, conducted 2.29 crore laboratory tests, and treated more than 73,000 patients every day across the state. These figures reflect the growing trust and reliance of Punjab’s residents on government-run healthcare services.

Major Achievements in Three Years

  • 4.2 crore OPD visits recorded
  • 2.29 crore laboratory tests conducted
  • 73,000+ patients treated daily
  • ₹2,000 crore saved from the public’s pocket in medical expenses

The initiative has not only strengthened healthcare accessibility but also delivered a major economic relief to families, saving them an estimated ₹2,000 crore that would have otherwise been spent on private medical care.

Accessible Healthcare for All

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly emphasized that Aam Aadmi Clinics are designed to bring quality healthcare closer to the people — especially those from low-income and rural backgrounds. Each clinic is equipped to provide free consultations, basic lab tests, and essential medicines, ensuring that no one in Punjab is deprived of medical treatment due to financial constraints.

Launched under the Punjab government’s model of accessible public welfare, the clinics reflect the Aam Aadmi Party’s vision of people-first governance. Over the years, the program has also helped reduce the burden on hospitals by offering reliable primary care at the local level.

Transforming Punjab’s Health Landscape

Health experts have hailed the clinics as a transformational step in public health delivery, noting that they have not only improved preventive care but also built public confidence in government health institutions.

As Punjab continues to expand its healthcare infrastructure, the success of the Aam Aadmi Clinics stands as a testament to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s commitment to affordable and accessible healthcare for every citizen of the state.
