Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, said on Monday that Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, is calling the kettle black by trying to make such baseless statements during his visit to the state.

Rahul Gandhi has no moral standing, according to the Chief Minister, to criticise democracy or democratic values. The Gandhi family scion was reminded by Bhagwant Mann that he was elected Chief Minister of Punjab by people who gave their party a resounding majority of the vote.

He said that he was chosen by the people to serve them, in opposition to Charanjit Singh Channi, who was appointed Chief Minister by Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi was informed by the Chief Minister that knowledge is always dangerous.

He reminded the Congress leader that by using the Chief Ministers as puppets, his party had irreparably damaged democratic norms. Rahul Gandhi should check his conscience before making any remarks about the matter, according to Bhagwant Mann, who stated this as a matter of fact.

The Chief Minister claimed that Captain Amarinder Singh was deposed from his position as Chief Minister not long ago by Rahul, who also humiliated him about a year prior.

He added that it is ironic that the state's present congress President, who has been pushed numerous times throughout the current yatra, is now being humiliated in front of the entire public, and that this is nothing more than a clumsy ploy by the congressman to monopolise media attention.

Bhagwant Mann said that the Congress leader has forgotten that hands of his family are drenched with murder of democracy in country and people will never forgive them for this sin.
