Senior police officials stated that the anti-drug drive is not limited to enforcement alone. Alongside raids and search operations, Punjab Police is running continuous awareness and de-addiction initiatives aimed at educating communities, especially youth, about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Village-level outreach programs, school awareness sessions, and coordination with civil administration form a key part of the mission.
The ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab’ vision, backed strongly by the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking. Police teams across districts have been instructed to ensure strict action against suppliers while extending support to rehabilitation efforts for those seeking to break free from addiction.
Officials highlighted that the daily monitoring of operations, use of technology, and inter-district coordination have helped maintain pressure on drug syndicates. The government has reiterated that public cooperation remains crucial for the success of the mission and urged citizens to report suspicious activities without fear.
With the completion of 304 days of ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, Punjab Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue the campaign with the same intensity until the state is fully freed from the menace of drugs.
