Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann interacted with top-performing students of the Punjab School Education Board during the “Sitare Zameen Te” programme in Chandigarh, where he congratulated the students on their outstanding academic achievements. The event brought together board examination toppers and their families for a special interaction with the Chief Minister.
Bhagwant Mann: Recognition for Outstanding Performance
During the interaction, Mann praised the students for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He has previously honoured PSEB toppers with cash rewards and scholarship support, describing their success as a source of pride for the entire state. Students who secured top positions in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were felicitated for their achievements.
Focus on Education Reforms
The Chief Minister highlighted the Punjab government’s education reforms, often referred to as the state’s “Sikhya Kranti” initiative. He has credited investments in school infrastructure, smart classrooms, teacher training, and academic improvements for the strong performance of students in recent board examinations.
Girls Continue to Lead Academic Results
Mann also pointed to the strong performance of girls in PSEB examinations. Recent Class 12 results saw three girl students secure perfect scores, while girls dominated the merit list and recorded higher pass percentages than boys.
