Preliminary investigations have revealed that the duo was involved in a recent shootout in Rajpura and had been assigned by Goldy Dhillon to target a businessman in Punjab. Police recovered two .32 calibre pistols and 10 live cartridges from the scene.

The DGP reaffirmed that the Punjab Police, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, remains steadfast in its mission to dismantle gangster networks and uphold peace and security across the state.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised the AGTF and the police department for their dedication, saying that such operations reflect the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards organised crime. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Punjab remains safe and free from the menace of gangsters and drug traffickers.

This latest action adds to a series of successful operations carried out by the AGTF in recent months, showcasing the state’s strengthened intelligence network and swift coordination between different police wings. The state government continues to prioritise modernisation of police forces and the use of advanced technology for effective crime prevention and investigation.

Officials also stated that the accused will face strict legal action and that investigations are underway to trace other members of the network. The Punjab Police has intensified its crackdown on associates of foreign-based gangsters, ensuring that no criminal element escapes accountability.
