Bhagwant Mann Launches Industrial and Business Development Policy 2026 to Boost Investment and Jobs

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday launched the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2026 in Ludhiana, aiming to strengthen the ease of doing business and attract greater investment in Punjab.

The policy is designed to provide investors with a seamless, transparent and business-friendly environment to establish and expand their ventures in the state. The government said the initiative will play a key role in strengthening Punjab’s industrial base and accelerating economic growth.

According to the chief minister, the policy has been formulated after detailed consultations with industrialists, business leaders and stakeholders to ensure that the concerns and suggestions of the industry are effectively addressed.

Under the new policy, investors will receive several incentives including capital subsidies, relief in electricity duty, State GST refunds and exemptions in stamp duty. These measures are aimed at reducing operational costs and encouraging businesses to set up new units in the state.

Officials said prioritising these sectors will help align Punjab with evolving global economic and technological trends.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the government is committed to attracting more domestic and international investment while strengthening existing industries across the state.

He added that expanding industrial activity will help create new employment opportunities for the youth, boost entrepreneurship and contribute to the long-term economic development of Punjab.

The chief minister emphasized that collaboration between the government and the business community will be essential in driving economic progress. He expressed confidence that with supportive policies and active industry participation, Punjab will continue to grow as a strong industrial and investment destination.
