Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday reaffirmed his government's commitment to employment generation under the banner of ‘Mission Rozgar’, aimed at building a vibrant and self-reliant Punjab. Taking to social media, he shared a live update from Chandigarh, where appointment letters were distributed to newly recruited youth across various departments.
“Rangla Punjab da Mission Rozgar” (A colourful Punjab through employment), Mann tweeted, as he personally handed over the appointment letters during a grand ceremony held in the state capital.
The initiative, which is part of the Aam Aadmi Party government's ongoing push for youth empowerment, aims to fill government vacancies swiftly and transparently.
Employment with Transparency and Dignity
Addressing the gathering, CM Mann emphasized that merit-based and corruption-free recruitment is the foundation of the state’s new governance model. He added that providing stable government jobs to the youth not only boosts household income but also plays a key role in curbing migration and fostering pride in local opportunities.
“This is not just about jobs; it’s about restoring dignity, ensuring fair chances, and rebuilding the trust of Punjab’s youth in the system,” Mann said.
Ongoing Recruitment Momentum
Since taking office, the Mann-led government has distributed thousands of appointment letters through similar events. These drives are seen as a key part of the ‘Rangla Punjab’ vision, focused on rejuvenating the state through education, employment, and innovation.
The Chief Minister also reiterated that the recruitment process in Punjab will continue to remain transparent, paperless, and merit-driven, encouraging more talented youth to stay and serve the state.
