According to a statement by the Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, the police recovered 12.07 kilograms of heroin along with ₹25.12 lakh in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking and hawala transactions. The operation is being hailed as a major breakthrough in the fight against organized narcotics trade in the state.

An FIR has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Ghall Khurd. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to uncover both forward and backward linkages connected to the arrested accused.

The Punjab Police reiterated their resolve to eradicate drug syndicates, choke their supply routes, and ensure a drug-free Punjab. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses. The seizure was confirmed by the Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) through an official statement on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the state’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
