Bhagwant Mann likely to hand over compensation cheques today

Farmer

Cabinet Minister Dhaliwal said that CM Mann will distribute compensation cheque to the farmers a day before Baisakhi for the crop damage in Punjab. On April 13, a large-scale program will be organized in Abohar to give checks to the farmers. During this, checks will be given to the farmers.

He said that before the CM goes to Abohar, the compensation amount will come in the accounts of the farmers. Agriculture Minister Dhaliwal said that as soon as the report of Girdavari comes to the government, checks will be deposited in the accounts of the farmers. Another decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting. He has written to the Central Government that the hands of the farmers should be held on this occasion. Just as he has come forward in Punjab for the benefit of the farmers, the central government should also do the same. Farmers should not face any problem at the time of wheat procurement.

During this, discussions were held regarding the situation in Punjab and the crop damaged by the farmers due to unseasonal rains. Dhaliwal said that it is for the first time in history that a decision has been taken for the interests of the farmers.

He said that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is standing with the farmers. The government wants to save the agriculture of Punjab. He is standing as the shield of the farmers. Punjab’s agriculture will not be allowed to lag behind. Every Girdawari will get compensation under the leadership of Hon’ble Government. He said that the duty of the officers has been imposed. If still there is any discrepancy, then contact with them or with the officials.

Dhaliwal said that CM Mann had imposed the duty of high level officers only yesterday. Orders were given to monitor Girdawari regarding damaged crops. Whatever districts were allotted to all the officers, the crops would be collected on the spot with transparency. Dhaliwal said that the work of Girdavari will be completed in 2-3 days.
