Officials said the inspection forms part of ongoing efforts to monitor civic services and ensure accountability among local authorities. The government has been conducting reviews in different districts to assess sanitation, waste management, and public service delivery.
Bains emphasized that maintaining clean public spaces remains a priority and called for stronger implementation of waste management measures to improve living conditions for residents.
The development comes as the Punjab government continues its statewide cleanliness drive focused on enhancing urban infrastructure, sanitation facilities, and public participation in maintaining cleaner cities and towns.
