The students also appealed to residents to participate in the campaign and contribute to keeping their neighbourhoods and surroundings clean. Their involvement brought a focus on the role of young people in creating awareness about cleanliness and responsible civic behaviour.
Mission Clean Punjab has been launched by the Aam Aadmi Party as a statewide cleanliness initiative, with the second phase focusing on strengthening cleanliness activities and encouraging greater participation at the local level.
The participation of schoolchildren also highlights the campaign’s emphasis on public awareness alongside physical cleanliness work. By involving students, the initiative seeks to encourage cleanliness habits among younger citizens and spread the message to families and communities.
The Punjab government has been promoting cleanliness and improved civic conditions as part of its broader public welfare agenda. Community participation is being encouraged to ensure that cleanliness is not limited to government-led activities but becomes a shared responsibility.
