Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday paid heartfelt tributes to the three revered Sikh martyrs — Bhai Diala Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Sati Das Ji — on their 350th Shaheedi Diwas.

Bhagwant said that the sacrifices of these great Gursikhs remain one of the most inspiring chapters

In a message shared on social media, Mann said that the sacrifices of these great Gursikhs remain one of the most inspiring chapters of Sikh history. He wrote that their unparalleled courage and dedication to truth, humanity and righteousness continue to guide generations.

Mann noted that the three martyrs stood firm in the face of extreme torture

The Chief Minister further said that Punjab draws its strength from such chapters of sacrifice, and it is the responsibility of every citizen to preserve this heritage with pride. He added that by remembering the bravery of Bhai Diala Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Sati Das Ji, the state reaffirms its collective commitment to justice, equality and the protection of fundamental rights for all.

Bhagwant Mann noted that the three martyrs stood firm in the face of extreme torture, choosing to uphold dharma over life itself. Their sacrifices, he added, symbolize the spirit of fearlessness and unwavering faith that defines Sikh philosophy.

The Chief Minister said that their martyrdom not only strengthened Sikh identity but also reinforced the universal message of standing against injustice and supporting the oppressed. He emphasized that such sacrifices laid the foundation for a society where religious freedom and human dignity remain paramount.

As the state observes the historic day, the Punjab government has urged people to reflect on the values these martyrs lived and died for. Various commemorative events and gatherings are being held across gurudwaras to honour their legacy.

Mann also highlighted that the teachings and sacrifices of these Gursikhs hold greater relevance in today’s times, reminding society to stay united, compassionate and committed to truth.
