Bhagwant Mann Police Arrest 96 Drug Smugglers on Day 375 of #YudhNashianVirudh Campaign in Punjab

The police said the crackdown will continue across the state with the aim of dismantling drug supply networks and promoting a drug-free Punjab.

Continuing its ongoing anti-drug drive #YudhNashianVirudh, the Bhagwant Mann Police carried out multiple raids across Punjab on Day 375 of the campaign, leading to the arrest of 96 drug smugglers.

According to an official update shared by the police, authorities recovered 1.8 kg of heroin, 1,244 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and ₹5,970 in suspected drug money during the operations conducted across different districts.

Officials also said that 29 individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, as part of the state government’s strategy to address both drug trafficking and addiction.

The police said raids were conducted at several locations across the state as part of the continued crackdown against narcotics networks operating in Punjab.

With the latest action, the total number of drug smugglers arrested since the launch of the campaign has reached 53,119, highlighting the scale of the ongoing anti-drug operations.

The anti-drug campaign is being carried out under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, with law enforcement agencies intensifying efforts to curb drug trafficking and encourage rehabilitation for those struggling with substance abuse.

Officials added that the state police are adopting a multi-pronged strategy that includes strict enforcement, intelligence-based raids, and rehabilitation initiatives to tackle the drug menace.

Authorities also urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting suspicious activities related to drug trafficking, emphasizing that public participation is crucial in making the campaign more effective.
