Bhagwant Mann Police India Continues Anti-Drug Crackdown on Day 377 of #YudhNashianVirudh in Punjab

On Day 377 of the campaign, police teams conducted multiple raids at different locations and arrested 64 drug smugglers. During the operations, officials recovered 13 kilograms of heroin, 2.6 kilograms of opium and 443 intoxicant tablets and capsules, highlighting the scale of the crackdown being carried out against narcotics-related activities.

Police officials said the raids were carried out based on intelligence inputs and ongoing surveillance aimed at dismantling illegal drug supply chains operating across various districts of the state. Authorities have reiterated that strict enforcement measures will continue to target individuals involved in drug trafficking.

Along with enforcement action, the campaign also focuses on rehabilitation and awareness. During the latest operations, 30 individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, reflecting the administration’s efforts to combine law enforcement with social support for those affected by substance abuse.

According to official data, a total of 53,383 drug smugglers have been arrested in the 377 days of the campaign, indicating the extensive scale of the anti-drug drive being conducted by law enforcement agencies.

The campaign forms a key part of the state government’s strategy under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to combat drug abuse and strengthen public safety in Punjab.
