Under the ongoing anti-drug campaign #YudhNashianVirudh, Bhagwant Mann Police India continued its intensified crackdown against drug trafficking across Punjab. On Day 376 of the campaign, police teams carried out multiple raids in different districts of the state and arrested 83 drug smugglers.
During the operations, authorities recovered 330 grams of heroin, 25 kilograms of poppy husk, and 514 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹5,800 in suspected drug money. Officials stated that the recoveries were made during coordinated search operations conducted by district police units and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force.

Police also focused on rehabilitation as part of the campaign’s broader strategy to combat drug abuse. Twenty-three individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, highlighting the administration’s dual approach of strict enforcement against traffickers and support for those struggling with addiction.
