Bhagwant Mann: In a major breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police India, in a joint operation with local police, apprehended two accused in Bathinda, preventing a potential robbery attempt.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Jacky Kumar alias Jacky and Vikas Arora, who were allegedly planning to target a businessman in the area. Acting on intelligence inputs, police teams carried out a coordinated operation leading to their arrest.

During the operation, authorities recovered two country-made .32 bore pistols, along with magazines and four live cartridges from the accused. Officials stated that the weapons were reportedly procured from Delhi, and further linkages are currently being investigated.

Preliminary investigation has also revealed that one of the accused, Vikas Arora, has a prior criminal background, including involvement in a domestic violence case. Police officials are examining his past connections and possible links to organized criminal networks.

Authorities said that further investigation is underway to uncover the broader network and ensure that any associated individuals are brought to justice. Efforts are being made to trace the source of illegal arms supply and dismantle such channels.
