In a major breakthrough, the Counter Intelligence Wing of Bathinda, in a joint operation with the Bathinda Police, apprehended three operatives of the banned outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) for writing pro-Khalistan slogans on the walls of schools in villages Bhissiana and Mananwala. The act was allegedly carried out under the direction of USA-based SFJ mastermind Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.

Officials stated that foreign funding was being channeled to support their illegal propaganda activities.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann lauded the swift and coordinated efforts of the Punjab Police and Counter Intelligence teams, commending their professionalism and dedication in foiling anti-national designs. He reiterated that no one will be allowed to disturb Punjab’s peace and communal harmony, stressing that strict action will continue against those spreading divisive ideologies.
Police sources confirmed that the operation was conducted in a meticulous and scientific manner, with strong evidence being collected to ensure the culprits face justice. “The team acted swiftly, ensuring that such attempts to incite hatred and instability are immediately curbed,” a senior officer said.
The Punjab Police, under the leadership of DGP Gaurav Yadav, reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, emphasizing that any activities supporting banned organizations like SFJ would be dealt with firmly.
The latest arrests mark another successful operation in Punjab’s continued crackdown against elements attempting to revive separatist movements from foreign soil.
