Massive Recovery of Fake Currency

During the operation, officials recovered ₹11,05,000 in original old currency along with a staggering ₹9 crore 88 lakh in counterfeit notes. Police sources revealed that the accused used a layered deception technique, placing genuine notes on the top of bundles while concealing fake notes inside to dupe unsuspecting victims.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the duo has been involved in several cheating and counterfeit cases across Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Their operations were designed to target individuals seeking cash exchange, taking advantage of urgent financial needs.
