In the latest update marking 271 days of the campaign, the police force reported significant achievements in raids, arrests, and awareness activities designed to dismantle drug networks and protect Punjab’s youth.

Statewide Raids and Major Arrests

Over the past 271 days, Punjab Police has conducted coordinated raids across 271 locations, targeting suppliers, peddlers, and organised drug networks. These operations led to the arrest of 93 drug traffickers in the most recent phase.

With these new arrests, the total number of drug-related arrests under this mission has reached an extraordinary 38,292, highlighting the scale and consistency of the state’s action against narcotics.

Bhagwant Mann Mission Aimed at a Drug-Free Punjab

The anti-drug campaign focuses on three critical pillars:

  1. Dismantling Supply Chains – cracking down on peddlers, organised gangs, and cross-border links.
  2. Strengthening Preventive Measures – increasing surveillance, blocking routes, and improving intelligence coordination.
  3. Youth Awareness & Rehabilitation – encouraging young people to choose a healthy, drug-free life and ensuring affected individuals receive support.

Through village meetings, school outreach, community drives, and digital campaigns, Punjab Police is ensuring that awareness spreads across all districts, especially in rural and border regions.

Government’s Commitment Under CM Bhagwant Mann

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s administration has consistently highlighted the eradication of drugs as one of its top priorities. The police force continues to receive administrative and operational support to maintain the momentum of the mission.

The government’s approach not only focuses on enforcement but also on rehabilitation, mental health assistance, and public participation to build a safer, healthier Punjab.

Call for Public Participation

Punjab Police has urged citizens, especially the youth, to stay vigilant, report suspicious activities, and participate in awareness initiatives. The force emphasized that community involvement is essential to achieving a drug-free Punjab.
