Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced that every family in the state will receive free medical treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh under the Chief Minister Health Scheme (Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana). The scheme is designed to ensure universal healthcare coverage, allowing citizens from all sections of society to access quality medical treatment without any financial burden.
According to Bhagwant Mann, the scheme has been structured to be completely inclusive, with no conditions or restrictions based on income, caste, or social status. He emphasised that healthcare is a basic right, and no individual should be deprived of treatment due to lack of money.
