Bhagwant Mann Reaffirms Strict Anti-Corruption Policy in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reiterated that his government maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, making it clear that no individual—whether familiar or outsider—will be spared if found guilty of wrongdoing.

Sharing a strong message on social media, Mann stated that any form of corruption will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved. He emphasized that the money contributed by citizens through taxes is meant for public welfare and will not be allowed to go to waste under any circumstances.

Government Committed to Transparency

Mann highlighted that the Punjab government is continuously strengthening mechanisms to ensure maximum transparency and accountability in administration. Departments have been instructed to streamline processes, reduce red tape, and adopt technology-driven systems to prevent misuse of public funds.

Action Already Underway Across State

In recent months, multiple corruption cases have been acted upon promptly, reflecting the government’s strong stance. Officials involved in misappropriation, bribery, or misuse of power are being investigated, suspended, or prosecuted depending on the severity of the offence.

Public Trust Central to Governance

The Chief Minister added that building public confidence in governance is a top priority. Ensuring that taxpayer money is used effectively for development projects—such as schools, hospitals, roads, and social welfare schemes—is essential for Punjab’s growth trajectory. “Every rupee must reach the people it is meant for,” Mann stressed.

Appeal for Collective Responsibility

Mann also urged citizens to support the state’s anti-corruption drive by reporting irregularities and remaining vigilant about misuse of public resources. He reiterated that a corruption-free administration is key to delivering efficient services and ensuring equitable progress across Punjab.
