The Chief Minister also took a critical stance on the Centre, stating that major decisions related to Minimum Support Price (MSP) and agricultural laws fall under its jurisdiction. He reiterated the demand for a legal guarantee of MSP, highlighting that only the Centre has the authority to implement such a measure.

Mann further emphasised that his government is working consistently to safeguard farmers’ rights while also maintaining law and order in the state. He appealed for peaceful dialogue and constructive solutions, stating that prolonged conflicts or disruptions can impact the common public and the state’s economy.

Highlighting his government’s track record, Mann pointed to various initiatives taken in the past four years, including welfare schemes, healthcare expansion, and action against drug networks, presenting them as part of a broader effort to strengthen Punjab’s socio-economic structure.

He also reiterated that the state government remains open to discussions with farmer groups and is committed to resolving their concerns through dialogue rather than confrontation. At the same time, he stressed the importance of balancing public convenience and economic activity while addressing protest-related issues.

The press conference comes amid ongoing farmer-related concerns and political debates in Punjab. The Chief Minister underlined that his government’s priority remains clear. To stand with farmers, ensure their welfare, and push for their demands at the national level while maintaining stability within the state.
