Bhagwant Mann to raise Punjab’s key demands with Centre in Delhi

The visit comes at a time when the Punjab government is actively pursuing financial and infrastructural support for ongoing projects in the state.

Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said he will hold meetings with senior Union ministers in New Delhi to discuss Punjab’s pending and “legitimate demands” with the Central government.

In a statement shared on social media, Mann said he would meet Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Food and Public Distribution Minister Pralhad Joshi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his visit to Delhi.

The Punjab Chief Minister stated that discussions would focus on issues related to the state and matters concerning public welfare, infrastructure, food supply and agriculture sectors.

Bhagwant Mann: Focus on Punjab’s pending issues

According to officials, the meetings are expected to address several long-pending matters linked to road infrastructure projects, procurement-related concerns and agricultural interests of farmers in Punjab.

The state government has consistently sought greater coordination with the Centre on issues related to crop procurement, rural development and transport connectivity.

Sources indicated that the meetings may also include discussions on strengthening Centre-state cooperation for development projects and resolving administrative matters affecting Punjab.

The visit comes at a time when the Punjab government is actively pursuing financial and infrastructural support for ongoing projects in the state.
