The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab continues its aggressive campaign against drug trafficking under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. On the 108th day of the anti-drug drive, state authorities recorded a significant crackdown across various districts.

According to data shared by AAP Punjab:

499 raids were conducted in a single day

A total of 10.8 kilograms of heroin was seized

Authorities also recovered ₹2.40 lakh in drug money

With these arrests, the total number of drug peddlers caught since the beginning of the campaign has reached 17,897.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised the continuous efforts of Punjab Police and the Special Task Force, stating:

“We are fighting this battle not just with the law, but with the people of Punjab who want a safe and drug-free future. Our mission is to eliminate every chain in this dangerous network.”

Mann emphasized that this war on drugs is not symbolic, but a determined and result-driven movement. He reiterated that no individual—regardless of power or influence—will be spared if found involved in drug crimes.

Officials further added that the raids are part of a strategic, intelligence-based operation with increased surveillance in border areas, hotspots, and drug transit routes. Special focus is being given to rehabilitating drug users and dismantling organized supply networks.

The Punjab government also urged citizens to remain vigilant and report drug-related activities through official helplines and mobile apps, promising complete confidentiality and swift action.

As the crackdown reaches its 108th day, the Mann government remains firm on its commitment to transform Punjab into a drug-free state, with real-time updates and accountability being shared with the public.
