108 Drug Smugglers Arrested
A total of 108 drug smugglers have been arrested under this latest anti-narcotic operation. Drugs and Money Seized
Under this crackdown, the Punjab police have seized 756 grams of heroin and 331 intoxicating pills. The authorities have also seized ₹3,540 of money that is believed to be involved in the business of drug trafficking.
Emphasis on De-Addiction and Rehabilitation
The operation goes beyond the process of arrests and drug seizure. There is an emphasis on assisting people affected by drug addiction in the form of counseling and rehabilitation services. As part of this operation, fifteen people have been counseled and encouraged to seek de-addiction and rehabilitation.
