Under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, Punjab Police has intensified its fight against drug trafficking through Mission ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, marking 242 days of continuous operations across the state.
Massive Crackdown Across Punjab
As part of the latest drive, police teams carried out raids at 358 locations in various districts, resulting in the arrest of 87 drug peddlers. With these arrests, the total number of drug traffickers apprehended in 242 days has reached 34,511, reflecting the scale and consistency of the ongoing anti-drug campaign.
Statewide Operations and Awareness Campaigns
The mission involves not only raids and search operations but also community awareness programs encouraging youth to stay away from drugs and opt for rehabilitation and de-addiction. Local communities and volunteers are being involved to ensure long-term results and strengthen preventive measures.
