Bhagwant Mann’s Yudh Nashian Virudh, Punjab Police Arrests 75, Seizes Heroin & Poppy Husk in Fresh Raids

Punjab Police has intensified its anti-drug campaign under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s “Yudh Nashian Virudh” initiative. In the latest statewide operation, authorities arrested 75 alleged drug traffickers and recovered heroin, poppy husk, and cash believed to be linked to narcotics activities.

Punjab government’s war against drugs has gained further impetus under the flagship campaign Yudh Nashian Virudh of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Punjab Police conducted raids in different districts as part of a new series of joint operations against people suspected of being involved in drug trafficking and related criminal activities.

The operation is part of the state’s ongoing campaign to dismantle narcotics networks and curb the spread of drug abuse.

75 Arrested in Statewide Operation

In the latest raids, officials said 75 people were taken into custody for allegedly being involved in the illegal drug trade. Based on intelligence inputs and ongoing investigations, the police team carried out searches at different locations.

Authorities said some of the suspects were arrested while distributing or transporting narcotic substances. Cases have been registered under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway to unearth the larger networks operating behind the scenes.

Heroin, Poppy Husk & Cash Recovered

During the operation, police also seized quantities of heroin and poppy husk, along with cash believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking activities. The recoveries are being investigated in the context of efforts to follow supply chains and financial links associated with narcotics distribution.

Officials say continued enforcement efforts are helping to disrupt drug networks and keep illegal drugs off the streets of at-risk communities.

Zero-Tolerance Policy Reiterated By Gov’t

The Bhagwant Mann government has repeatedly stressed a zero-tolerance approach to drug-related crimes. Law enforcement agencies have intensified surveillance, intelligence gathering and targeted raids across the state after the launch of Yudh Nashian Virudh.

The senior officials said the campaign is not only about arrests but also about dismantling organised drug syndicates and protecting young people from the dangers of substance abuse.

In the latest operation, new arrests and recoveries were reported while the anti-drug drive continues to remain a top priority of the Punjab government’s law and order agenda.
