Raise the flag and give a salute to the nation

At the District Sports Stadium, Chief Minister Mann raised the Tricolour. The Punjab Police then gave a formal guard of honour. People in the stadium stood together, waved flags, and chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as the national song played.

In his speech, Mann honoured the freedom fighters who gave their lives so that India could become independent and repeated that his government would work to make Punjab a prosperous place without any corruption. “Our history is one of bravery, unity, and sacrifice,” he said. He said, “It is our duty to protect and strengthen the democratic values they fought for.”

Shows and parades of different cultures

At the Independence Day 2025 parade, there were groups from the Punjab Police, NCC cadets, and school kids who marched with pride and accuracy. Folk dances like Bhangra and Giddha, patriotic songs, and plays that talked about Punjab’s role in the freedom fight were all part of the cultural program.

The crowd cheered for the special tableaus that showed Punjab’s strengths in agriculture, renewable energy projects, and efforts to empower women.

At the ceremony, police officers, families of freedom fighters, and people who have made important contributions to society were also honoured. CM Mann directly gave them medals and certificates of appreciation for their service and hard work.
