CM Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal Lay Foundation of Barlton Park Sports Hub

In a significant step towards promoting sports infrastructure in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal jointly laid the foundation stone for the Barlton Park Sports Hub in Jalandhar. The event was streamed live, marking the Aam Aadmi Party’s renewed commitment to youth empowerment and sports development.

Addressing the gathering, Bhagwant Mann highlighted the state’s vision to nurture athletic talent and provide world-class facilities for sports enthusiasts. “The Barlton Park Sports Hub will not just be a stadium, but a symbol of Punjab’s sporting spirit,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal, present at the event, echoed similar sentiments, praising Punjab's leadership for its focus on grassroots development and youth engagement through sports. “We want every child in Punjab to dream of playing for India. This hub will play a pivotal role in achieving that dream,” he said. 

Barlton Park Sports Hub Is Expected To House Multiple Training Academics

The Barlton Park Sports Hub is expected to house multiple training academies, all-weather courts, a multipurpose stadium, and physiotherapy and recovery centers. It aims to create an ecosystem where talent from even the remotest parts of Punjab can thrive.

The sports hub is expected to feature modern amenities, including indoor and outdoor courts, training centres, fitness facilities, and youth-focused programs aimed at identifying and grooming talent.

With this initiative, the AAP government in Punjab is aiming to place Jalandhar firmly on the national sports map once again.
