Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday chaired a high-level meeting with senior IAS officers and administrative secretaries to review preparations for the upcoming festive season.
During the meeting, Mann directed officials to ensure that the ongoing paddy procurement process is carried out smoothly and without any disruption. He instructed departments to maintain round-the-clock monitoring of procurement activities to safeguard the interests of farmers and ensure timely payments.

The Chief Minister also urged all officers to approach their public service duties with greater dedication and a spirit of responsibility, especially during the festive period when administrative efficiency directly affects citizens.

Mann stressed that no farmer should face any inconvenience at procurement centers and ordered that adequate arrangements for gunny bags, weighing machines, and storage facilities be ensured. He emphasized coordination among departments such as Food and Civil Supplies, Mandi Board, and Revenue to prevent bottlenecks in the process.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining law and order during the festival season, Mann instructed officials to keep a close watch on field-level activities and ensure peaceful celebrations across the state. He also directed energy and transport departments to guarantee uninterrupted power and smooth transportation facilities.
Reiterating his government’s commitment to good governance, Mann said the aim is to combine administrative efficiency with compassion, ensuring that both citizens and farmers feel supported during this busy season.
