The state administration has directed law enforcement agencies to maintain momentum against narcotics networks

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has once again underlined the Punjab government’s firm commitment to eradicating drugs from the state, stating that the fight against narcotics will continue without compromise. He said the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign reflects the government’s resolve to protect Punjab’s youth and restore the state’s social fabric from the damage caused by drug abuse and trafficking.

He directed the police administration to maintain pressure on drug networks and ensure that no offender, irrespective of influence or background, is spared.

97 Traffickers Arrested in Statewide Raids

The Chief Minister also acknowledged the sustained efforts of Punjab Police, noting that the consistent results over 302 days demonstrate improved intelligence gathering, coordinated enforcement, and strong political will. He added that the government will continue to strengthen law enforcement resources and support community-driven initiatives to ensure long-term impact in the fight against drugs.

Punjab Police has completed 302 days of its flagship anti-drug campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, continuing its sustained crackdown on drug trafficking and substance abuse across the state. The campaign, aimed at building a Nasha Mukt Punjab, has seen consistent enforcement actions alongside awareness initiatives at the grassroots level.

On the 302nd day of the drive, Punjab Police conducted raids at 351 locations across the state, leading to the arrest of 97 drug traffickers. These operations were carried out through coordinated efforts involving focused raids, intensive search operations, and intelligence-based policing to disrupt drug supply chains.

According to official data, a total of 42,203 drug traffickers have been arrested in the last 302 days, reflecting the scale and intensity of the campaign. Senior officials stated that the drive is not limited to arrests alone but also emphasizes preventive measures, community outreach, and rehabilitation awareness to address drug abuse holistically.
