The arrested individual has been identified as Mohan Singh, a resident of Ramuwal village, PS Bhagta Bhaika, District Bathinda. With this development, the total number of arrests in the case has now reached five, strengthening the investigative trail.

According to preliminary findings, Mohan Singh was in direct contact with ISI-based gangster Shehzad Bhatti, who allegedly masterminded the attack. Officials revealed that Singh executed the act under Bhatti’s guidance, with the clear intention of spreading fear and destabilising peace in Punjab.

Police sources indicate that the investigation is far from over. Multiple leads are currently being pursued to identify additional operatives, handlers, and facilitators who may be part of the larger cross-border network. The focus remains on uncovering the full chain of command behind the attack.

The Punjab Police, in coordination with national security agencies, has reiterated its firm commitment to dismantling terror modules, neutralising foreign-backed networks, and ensuring the safety of citizens.

Further updates are expected as the investigation advances and more suspects come under scrutiny.
