In response to the request from the Punjab state government, Vijoy Kumar Singh, a 1990 batch IAS officer, has been repatriated to Punjab. He is slated to assume the role of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
This move comes after a gap of four months since the position of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister became vacant. The previous incumbent, A Venu Prasad, retired in July, leaving the post unfilled.
Formal posting orders for Vijoy Kumar Singh as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister are anticipated to be issued on Wednesday.
