Justice in ‘Alleged Liquor Scam Case’ Rekindles Common Person’s Faith in Judiciary: Baltej Pannu

When BJP Failed to Match Kejriwal's Governance and Integrity, They Misued Agencies for These False Cases: Pannu

Addressing a press conference, AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Singh Pannu said that the Delhi court’s historic decision to discharge Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and others in the alleged liquor scam case has completely demolished what he termed a politically motivated conspiracy.

Pannu said that the court found the case itself unfit to proceed. “There was no recovery, no cash, no document, no evidence whatsoever that could sustain a trial. The court, in its detailed order, made it clear that a case without foundation cannot continue,” he said.

He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party was founded on the pillars of education and healthcare, and that transformative initiatives such as Mohalla Clinics and government school reforms in Delhi earned global recognition. Similar reforms, he said, are now visible in Punjab, where new clinics and historic academic achievements by government school students reflect real change on the ground.

Pannu alleged that unable to match AAP’s governance and integrity, political opponents fabricated the so-called ₹100 crore scam narrative. “Where is the ₹100 crore? What scam?” he asked, adding that months spent in jail by Kejriwal, Sisodia and others can never be returned.

He thanked the judiciary and paid tribute to B. R. Ambedkar for framing a Constitution that safeguards justice. Calling the verdict a victory for honest politics, Pannu said it has strengthened faith in the courts and will further deepen AAP’s roots across the country. “We were proud of our leaders yesterday, we are proud today, and we will remain proud,” he asserted.
