The Golden Temple resounded with the cheers of ‘Jo Bole So Nihal’
The crowd had started gathering in the Golden Temple from late evening itself. Due to the crowd, people had to struggle even to enter inside the Golden Temple. Devotees were seen all around the Golden Temple even for the parikrama. Wherever people got a place, they sat there and started waiting for 12 o’clock in the night. As soon as it was 12 o’clock in the night and the new year started, the entire Golden Temple echoed with the cheers of Jo Bole So Nihal. Today, on the first day of the new year, a huge crowd of devotees has started gathering since morning. Devotees are also taking a dip in the holy lake of the Golden Temple.
Golden temple management made special arrangements for langar
A special langar has also been arranged for the devotees in the Golden Temple on New Year. Lakhs of people visit Amritsar every year to visit sites like Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Ram Tirth Temple, Wagah Border, Partition Museum, Siddha Shakti Peeth Lal Mata Mandir, ISKCON Temple and Tarn Taran Gurudwara, besides the Golden Temple.
