More than 3.5 lakh people have benefited from the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme launched by the Punjab government, according to information shared by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab.

AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said the pilgrimage initiative has received a positive response from devotees across the state, with the government providing comprehensive travel and hospitality arrangements for participants.

He also announced that the Punjab government is planning to introduce new pilgrimage routes in the coming days. The proposed destinations include Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura, Vrindavan, Khatu Shyam, and Salasar Dham, offering more travel options for devotees under the scheme.

According to Pannu, the government ensures complete arrangements for pilgrims, including transportation, accommodation, meals, and other essential facilities, allowing beneficiaries to undertake their religious journeys without financial burden.

The details regarding the number of beneficiaries and the proposed expansion of pilgrimage routes were shared by AAP Punjab and party leader Baltej Pannu. Further announcements on the rollout of the new routes are expected from the state government.
