On July 29, 2020, the Congress government led by Captain Amarinder Singh had handed over the responsibility of the post of chairman to Dr. Yograj. His tenure was of three years, but Dr. Yograj, chairman of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), has resigned from his post on Wednesday. He still had six months left in his term.

The current chairman has been asked to continue in his post till further orders. However, Dr. Yograj could not be contacted in this regard.
