The website, developed by the Governance Reforms department in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre, aims to enhance the well-being of NRIs and foster a stronger connection with their roots.

- The newly launched website serves as a comprehensive information hub, offering detailed insights into the NRI Police wing, Punjab State Commission for NRIs, and NRI Sabha.
- It is designed to provide NRIs with easy access to essential facilities and services offered by the state government through a simple click.
- Facilities and Services:
- NRIs can use the website to get their documents attested, explore various government schemes, and access helpline numbers, email addresses, and WhatsApp complaint numbers.
- Information about registered travel agents/agencies with the Punjab government and immigration agents/agencies registered with the Ministry of External Affairs is also available.
- Online Complaint Portal:
- The website includes a link to the centralised online complaint portal of Punjab, www.connect.punjab.gov.in, allowing NRIs and others to register their complaints seamlessly.
- Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that the website would act as a catalyst in addressing the issues faced by NRIs effectively.
- Facilitation Center at IGI Airport:
- In a significant move, the state government plans to establish a facilitation center at the arrival hall of the International terminal at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport.
- This 24x7 center will offer assistance to all NRIs and other passengers arriving at the terminal, enhancing their arrival and airport-related services.
- Empowering NRIs:
- The Chief Minister described the initiative as empowering NRIs and ensuring their seamless access to government services and assistance.
- The focus is on fostering a strong connection with the diaspora and addressing their concerns promptly.
- Future Initiatives:
- Additionally, the government intends to organize five NRI milnis to engage with the diaspora and gather valuable feedback.
- The overall aim is to strengthen ties with NRIs and enhance their experience in dealing with administrative and legal matters.
