Bhagwant Mann, chief minister of Punjab, spend Sunday in his home town of Satauj in the Sangrur district enjoying Lohri with his friends, family, and the locals.
The Chief Minister, who arrived in his village this morning, lit the village bonfire and joined everyone in celebrating the holiday.
Interacting with the populace, he said that Lohri was the state's traditional holiday and that it was the reason he had chosen to travel to his hometown village and celebrate with all of his loved ones.
Bhagwant Mann recalled that he has happy memories of the village's celebration of this holy holiday going back to his early years. The solemn Lohri holiday, according to the Chief Minister, was enthusiastically observed throughout the state.
He claimed that all of the villages were extremely near to his heart because of which he likes sharing the joy of every holiday with them, touching the hearts of the people.
Bhagwant Mann claimed that he goes above and above for this because it gives him a great deal of pleasure and happiness to participate with the locals on such occasions.
The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the upcoming New Year and the Lohri celebration will bring much joy and happiness to all of the state's residents in general and to those of the hamlet in particular. The ethos of social harmony, peace, and fraternity in society are strengthened by this holiday, he continued, thus it has enormous value for all of us.
Bhagwant Mann said that the state is on the cusp of heralding in an era of overall progress and growth in every arena, for which the state government has already set its wheels in motion. He prayed for peace, harmony, progress, and the prosperity of its people.
