In a tweet, Mann said, “It is a matter of great pride for Punjab that today, in every sport, players from Punjab are shining at national and international levels. Abhishek Sharma from Amritsar Sahib has secured the top spot in the recently released ICC T20 batting rankings. Congratulations to him for this outstanding achievement.”

The Chief Minister also extended his wishes to two other Indian players—Tilak Varma and team captain Suryakumar Yadav—who have also earned spots on the prestigious list. “Hearty congratulations to Tilak Varma and captain Suryakumar Yadav as well for making it to the list,” Mann added.

Abhishek Sharma's consistent performance and aggressive batting style have made him a key figure in India’s T20 setup. His recent innings have not only helped India secure victories but also earned him global recognition, pushing him to the top of the T20 batting charts.
