The bypolls, held on November 20, 2024, were conducted in four constituencies — Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal (SC), and Barnala. These elections were necessitated as the sitting legislators had vacated their seats after being elected to the Lok Sabha earlier this year.
