Punjab Police: In a major breakthrough against gangster-terrorist networks, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with Tarn Taran Police, has arrested two key associates of foreign-based terrorist Lakhvir Singh alias Landa Harike. The accused have been identified as Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky and Harpreet Singh alias Prince. Police also recovered a .32 caliber pistol, a .315 caliber pistol, and nine live cartridges from their possession.

According to Punjab Police, Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky was a proclaimed offender wanted in an attempt to murder case registered at PS Jhabal, Tarn Taran in March 2024, and had been absconding since then. His associate Ajaypal alias Mota had earlier been arrested by Tarn Taran Police after a brief exchange of fire in March 2025.
Both arrested individuals carry a criminal background, with cases registered under the NDPS Act, Arms Act, Attempt to Murder, and Snatching. Their arrest has also helped the police crack several pending cases.
Bhagwant Mann praised the police action
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised the police action, stating that Punjab is committed to ensuring peace and security by dismantling gangster-terrorist syndicates. The police have confirmed that further interrogation is underway to trace the wider network and handlers linked to the arrested duo.
The Punjab Police reiterated through its official handle @PunjabPoliceInd that it will continue to take firm action against gangster-terrorist networks to safeguard the people of the state.
