Modern Reforms in Government Schools

The chief minister noted that teacher training plays a crucial role in improving learning standards. By equipping educators with modern skills and experiential learning techniques, the government aims to make government schools more competitive and student-friendly.

Officials said that trained teachers are expected to implement innovative teaching models, interactive learning and practical approaches after returning from overseas training programmes. These reforms are part of the Aam Aadmi Party government’s broader vision to rebuild trust in government schools and ensure equal educational opportunities for all children, regardless of background.

The Punjab government has consistently highlighted education as a priority sector, focusing on infrastructure upgrades, teacher capacity building and curriculum modernisation. Mann reiterated that investing in teachers ultimately benefits students and strengthens the state’s future workforce.

The reforms have been widely seen as a step towards aligning Punjab’s school education system with global standards while making quality education accessible at the grassroots level.
