Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with his family, paid obeisance at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib as part of the ongoing ‘Shukrana Yatra’.
The Chief Minister visited the sacred Sikh site associated with the tenth Sikh Guru and offered prayers during the thanksgiving journey linked to the completion of the legal process for the anti-sacrilege law in Punjab.
Bhagwant Mann: Prayer for welfare and peace
Bhagwant Mann offered prayers for “Sarbat da Bhala” — the welfare of all — while expressing gratitude over the progress of the legislation aimed at taking strict action against sacrilege incidents.
Religious significance of the visit
Takht Sri Damdama Sahib holds major religious importance in Sikhism and is considered one of the five Takhts of the Sikh faith. The visit formed part of the Chief Minister’s broader outreach during the ‘Shukrana Yatra’.
